Fabric storage

So I have all this fabric and have tried several ways to store it, in such a way that I can SEE it. I do still have a lot of fabric in a dresser and that is nice I have it sorted by color and just open a drawer to look at all the green or black etc.... But I still have a lot of fabric and if it is just in a stack I make a mess looking through it..... soooooo... I turned a box on its side and rolled the fabric and slid it in there so I'm going to give it a try to see if it will stay in some sort of order.

Memo Board

I picked up this ribbon board kit so today I put it together here's how it went.

so I took it all out and tried to come up with how to lay it all out.

There was a lot in there to chose from, so I started with the ribbon board part of it. It was a little hard to line up but once I started I got the hang of it.

So then I put that down then attached the side paper

Added the hardware for the clip board area, and a pocket for notes. It was fun, I'm not usually to into kits but this was fun. I picked it up at JoAnn's

A ruffled apron for May

Over on The Apronista the group project for May is a Ruffled apron. I have apron patterns with ruffles but, a tutorial was mentioned and I made this apron from there.

Also I made this with my daughter in mind, she like black/white and red.

Stamping

This past week I went to a 'stamp camp' at a friend's house. She has these a few times a year and I try to make one when I can. I came home with nine new cards, and lots of ideas. I know I need to pull out all my supplies and get back to stamping again. It's so fun to give a handmade card or write a note to a friend in a card just because.

A is for Apron

Books, oh yes I do love books. Today I am home with a cold maybe some allergies so I am looking over books. The most recent to my collection is A is for Apron by Nathalie Mornu. She has wonderful photos, sayings and of course patterns with directions. I'm glad I picked it up!

Aprons

Aprons, aprons, aprons…….

That’s what I have been sewing lately. And the place I have found to really enjoy this hobby is The Apronista. You can google aprons and see what all the buzz is about, but for now I will just post a few I have been coming up with.
